Created as a partnership of Michael Counts, and his highly acclaimed creative and technical teams, and music and live entertainment entrepreneurs Ken Levitan and James Diener, August Moon represents a dream team of talent and entertainment expertise.

Ken Levitan

is best known for his role as the founder and co-president of Vector Management which has offices in LA, New York, London and Nashville.  He is considered a visionary pioneer in the music business for his management of such world renowned acts as The Kings of Leon, Prophets Of Rage, The Fray and Hank Williams, Jr., among many many others.  He is also the co-founder of the Nashville Food and Wine Festival (now the third largest festival of its kind in America) and is co-owner of several restaurants in Nashville, most notably Adele’s which he opened with Jonathan Waxman.  

James Diener

is a music industry pioneer who is currently co-founder of Freesolo Entertainment, co-founder of Alignment Artist Capital and formerly ran A&M/Octone Records   the label that originally signed and developed mega band Maroon 5.  Diener also signed Gavin DeGraw and international hip-hop superstar K’naan, among others.  In addition to his talent at picking and nurturing great acts, Diener is respected in a wide range of entertainment circles for his foresight and innovation of new and highly entrepreneurial ways of applying private equity to traditional entertainment business models.  

Michael Counts

who is known for his pioneering work in immersive theater and the creation and production of groundbreaking concepts like The Ride, The Walking Dead Experience, and Paradiso: Chapter 1, as well as for his accomplishments as a designer and director of two New York Times Top 10 listed productions with New York City Opera and the New York Philharmonic.  Counts calls the August Moon concept, “the culminating creative work of my career and something I’ve been dreaming about for years.”  Of his vision for the experience he said, “transportive entertainment is more and more what people want and going to the movies is a cornerstone of entertainment around the world – I think that offering people this opportunity is going to take that experience to the next level in an incredible way!” 

The concept has been backed by other leaders in the fields of entertainment, tech and media. 

The company’s partners include Michael Solomon, the accomplished talent manager who has worked with a wide range of music superstars including Bruce Springsteen and John Mayer, and most recently founded 10X Management, the high profile talent agency for technologists;  Daniel Frishwasser, a financial backer of several theatrical and film productions, among them past Counts productions including The Ride; and TV Star Connor Paolo of Gossip Girl and Revenge fame. 

Project financing and strategic partnerships are being coordinated by Barron International, a leading boutique investment bank lead by Lis Barron, who has been behind some of the most important media and entertainment deals of the last two decades.
